First we note that apparently the new Health Care Bill, if passed, will cost quite a bit of money. Odd, I thought it was supposed to save money over time. Meh, who can you really believe anymore?
Now we have States finally starting to exact their rights. Did you not know that the States of The Unites States of America (note that the word States is in the title of the country) have certain rights they get to keep even though they joined the union? One being their right to deny lots of Federal mandates. According to that article, 37 other states are talking about doing the same thing. Where does that take us? Congress, Senate and President all voting into law a bill that says you must have health care and states saying “um, no.”
Should get interesting kids – catch being of course that it is the IRS that will bill you for not having health insurance, not the State. What does that mean? It means no matter what your state says, the IRS will take your money, well, more of it anyway.

States rights v. Federal mandates. I believe we’ve been down this road before. Should be interesting, for sure.
Curious to see how this pans out now that the Health Care Bill passed the House.
