The Tea Party is a wanna be political group in the USA that is made up of mostly middle to upper class Republicans who no longer want to support the Republican Party because, well let’s face it, in recent years they haven’t exactly batted 1000. The most amusing thing about the Tea Party is that it is not at all centralized – meaning their is no real leadership in the “party” thus it has become more of a movement that a real political force. There was some talk in recent weeks that it could graduate past movement to real party, but recent events will most likely change that.

It appears that (MSNBC.COM) some high up in one of the many heads of the Tea Party Hydra has gone off the grid and taken several Tea Party members with him. What he did was, well, both stupid and borderline politically stupid. Here is a nice quote from that article. “The Tea Party political movement saw a major split over the weekend, with the National Tea Party Federation expelling a member group after its spokesman wrote an online post satirizing a fictional letter from what he called ‘Colored People’ to President Abraham Lincoln.”

Brilliant move. Nothing like bringing back old racist terms to the foreground to make you seem more intelligent. I am not sure why he didn’t just jump straight to the N-Bomb to make his point – after all the Tea Party hasn’t shown a whole heck of a lot of interest in the African Americans to begin with – really who is he going to upset in his party? Turns out lots of people who don’t themselves want to come across as racist. Weird eh? More idiots.
