Yesterday I did this mediocre post on the Swine Flu and how its being made out to be the Zombie Apocalypse. The part that amazes me is how much world wide paranoia this is causing – not my article. Yesterday England, and the EU, announced that going to the USA and Mexico was a bad bad thing! Then late that same day we found out that the Swine Flu is already in Scotland. for you geography impaired, Scotland is on the opposite end of the same Island and England – Oooooops.

Scanjack said something to me this morning that I found very interesting – why isn’t anyone drawing the correlation between bird flu, swine flu, and influenza in humans? All we hear about is how they aren’t the same. Fair Enough. So how does a species specific virus jump to another species? I have yet to hear anyone talk about this?. Maybe the rumblings are true – Lab borne?

Side note – my understanding is that if you walk around with a painters mask on you really aren’t protecting yourself. That said if you are truly ugly you may want to wear one all the time.
