Remember a few days ago when I wrote about toxic gases flying around in the air from the Gulf Oil Spill? Some of you may have scoffed. “But Thraxxus, we haven’t heard that in MSM!!!” Fine. Watch this:
Vladimir Putin “Blinkinblogs is my favorite read with glass of Vodka.”

Barack OBAMA “Blinkinblogs? Never heard of them.”

Well… yes, hydrogen sulfide and VOC’s = bad
40X ppb = bad
Short-term effects = unknown
Death = bad
So let me focus on the video source: “Horse of Paul Revere”
His title: “BP Death Clouds Already Onshore” is somewhat entertaining. Semantics are key here. By Death Cloud one would expect death to be upon those onshore. Yet there has not been a spike in the number of ER visits presenting with respiratory trauma. So by Death Cloud, I suspect he means some other entity’s death or planned future death or the possible increase in mortality at X calendar date and time.
Again, semantics offer a glimpse at true intent. So if there are Death Clouds with no correlate of Death, would it be an educated assumption to derive upon a theory that Mr. Paul Revere’s Horse is attempting to create a panic? Whip-up some frenzy, if you will?!
Additionally, “Mr. Horse” annotates his video with text alluding to a “cover-up”… I’m not sure of his definition of cover-up, but mine would state that one would not include news coverage, quotes from the EPA, and interviews with ancillary scientists.
HOWEVER, I agree Hydrogren Sulfide and VOCs = bad… so maybe the title of “BP ‘bad’ clouds already on shore!” would be more apropos to the video Mr. Horse showed us?
(I’m being snarky, of course)
Fancy words that are doom related sell papers man! Everyone these days seems to either embellish or twist stories to make them more interesting or interject their opinion.
I want a news source that does something like this:
“Gulf of Mexico along the X Latitude Y Longitude including the following counties are reporting elevated levels of A,B and C toxic gases. Government released this statement.”
“FACTS” whatever.
i liked your templated news release. this is how i prefer my information as well.
“News Sources” will tell you that using that format makes the news boring. To me it makes it NEWS and not OPINION.
