I have often wondered about why Fluoride is pumping through our water supply. If you did not know, basically the entire United States adds Fluoride to the tap water that you drink and bathe in. The question is: Why? Supposedly it is good for your teeth. Catch is there are loads of dentists who don’t agree with that. Furthermore, why does the government care that much about your teeth?
Not to go all conspiracy theory on people, but apparently I am not the only person who has thought this. Apparently there is a growing movement with certain areas of the country where they are now second guessing this Fluoride business, and in some cases taking it a step further by removing it from the water supply completely. If you think that a water filter in your house will take care of the issue, it won’t.

now this is cause for some concern.
“40% doesn’t dissolve”
and
“..but this is approved on the list… oops, no its not”.
what kind of safety measures are being used for municiple water – the same water we drink and wash our food in?
I also find it a little disconcerting about fluoride in the water supply. Seems like laziness not to remove it, while I should be able to control the exposure of fluoride to me and my family. Although I can see how the government might be interested in teeth care, they seem to be sporadically concerned about health care. Maybe if antibiotics were pumping through the water supply, we’d all be healthier. Wait, they already are.
As far as removing it the catch is Fluoride is actually ADDED into the water supply. All that needs to happen is to cease adding it – as the city in the article I posted did.
WEIRD.
/sarcasm I just love reading stories like this. Makes me feel proud
Oh RIGHT…I meant they add it if it there isn’t enough, instead of just removing it until neutral. Seems a little weird to me, too.
Here in Bremerton, WA – Flouride is NOT added to the water. Quite a few of my Co-Workers were surprised when they went to the dentist and had the MOST cavaties in their whole life – 30 year olds who have had very few cavaties previously. My wife started getting cavaties – cost some $$$ to get those fixed. Also – nationwide cavaties were consistently going down until the nation got hooked on bottled water (one of the biggest wastes of $$ and use of resources) which doesn’t have flouride. Dentists are losing too much $$ with flouride in the water. I am pro-flouride!!!
Good to hear another opinion on the matter.
i also live in bremerton im glad to hear there is no flouride in the water. now i just need to find out about the litium and hex. chronium and is if thats in ther water. BUT who knows whats really in the water, they could be sneaking it in. sadly enough flouride cant be boiled out either…so how do w get pure water? catch rain? thats what im gonna start doing.. BTW flouride is LETHAL to the human body thats why on the toothpaste tube is says DO NOT SWALLOW. ALSO recent studys link it to lower IQ, hello, the government is trying ot dumb us down!
I wouldn’t be so quick in dismissing fluoridation of the community drinking water as a human health victory. The original premise of the story was the dissolution confound experienced when attempting to mix the fluoride from china into the H20, not the act of fluoridation.
Excerpt from the CDC
Ten Great Public Health Achievements — United States, 1900-1999
Vaccination
Motor-vehicle safety
Safer workplaces
Control of infectious diseases
Decline in deaths from coronary heart disease and stroke
Safer and healthier foods
Healthier mothers and babies
Family planning
Fluoridation of drinking water
Recognition of tobacco use as a health hazard
Now many of you readers will be quick to dismiss several of these for what I can only theorize as due to a lack of mathematical competence (a thorough misunderstanding of statistics) or a theological imperative that will not allow for rational thought to intervene.
And for those who do not self-qualify under the previous two profiles blocking clear thought but resist due to lingering conspiracy theoretics (a.k.a. cerebral constipation), we can dig into the three (3) principles of research data source validation.
There… I believe I’ve successfully insulted anyone who did not think the way I believe they should think.
..and to all, a Merry Humbug, bitches.
CDC == Fail; Poly-Sci – in this meaning political pseudo science sadly.
Ah yes, Family Planning. This equates to, among other things, over 50% of Black children never being born thanks to abortion on every fifth corner. Good stuff that.
