This is bob. He likes long walks on the beach, poetry, and wears the latest in fashion, which apparently includes a skull cap, nose plug, and hardcore eye wear. In all seriousness, this image was on MSNBC.com’s website in a collection of sports images taken over the last week. I found this one entertaining as it brings something up that I have always found amusing – what we wear has a place and purpose. thing being of course if you do not know said purpose or place then the outfit in question becomes, well, questionable.

Consider a Hockey Goalie – dude is covered in armor –  if you saw someone like that walking through a bazaar in say ancient Mesopatamia one might think that he is in fact some form of specialized warrior – head gear looking a bit like a Gladiator helm and all. What about a ballerina? Some ballerina outfits are a bit on the revealing side – say you didn’t know what Ballet was and you encountered a woman wearing a tutu on the corner of 5th and Grand on a late saturday night, you might think that she is a working girl. Weird eh?
