Peter, Paul and Mary were this groovy trio from many years past that beyond winning five grammy’s created many songs that most people have heard in some fashion or another. For example, this scene from Armageddon would not have existed were it not for Peter, Paul and Mary. Mary died yesterday – the trio is now silent. Check out the link I supplied – you will be surprised by the songs that are theirs.

I was sad to hear this on the news this morning. At times like this I feel grateful to have had the pleasure of seeing people live such as Pete Seger, Arlo Guthrie, Joan Baez etc.

    RIP Mary.

When I was a kid my father took my sister and I to the Wild Animal Park in San Diego, where we lived, for what they called Summer Pops. We saw the Mamas and the Papas. Back then I didn’t give it much thought as their music was from my father’s era. Now I look back on it fondly for the matter you speak of scanjack.

I’ve missed opportunities to see some people play that I can now never see play live – such as Queen. Time flies man.
