Apparently the esteemed district attorney of New York has deemed it necessary to investigate whether or not Big Banks lied, cheated, stole, mislead and 500 other verbs with colorful adjectives the public, regulators and the government on how they were really doing. I am all for an investigation of this kind however I am also a realist. What incriminating evidence can possibly turn up, and even more disconcerting, what if some is found? These are banks that the government already wouldn’t let fail so how can they possibly hurt the banks? Give them less money? Constrain their nefarious business practices? We know that would only lead to banks not lending any more – their answer for all proposed legislation.
Fine them? Consider how laughable that is. Realize this – things are way out of control, and they are only going to spin farther out.

Did one of the 500 verbs include the word “bacon”?
Just kidding. However, I betcha “shellacked” was included in the list.
It is a circus, for sure.
