More Kansas based Shennanigans

Posted on 30 August 2009 by Thraxxus

The article I am referring to is here. Thanks to CW for this.

Realize I live in Kansas City, Kansas and thus have to hear about the ridiculous nature of Kansas’ descision on teaching evolution etc. However, this particular situation takes things into the realm of the stupid. In all seriousness if some people have a problem with the Evolution Image then I have a problem with displaying anything related to Christianity as it forces me to interact with THEIR  GOD, which is obviously against the stated problem that lead to the T-shirts in this article being banned: “Pollitt said the district was required by law to remain neutral on religion.” Thus ANY religios symbol of any kind whatsoever should also be banned right?

The law is the law people – abide by it.

Blackwater Article

Posted on 30 August 2009 by Thraxxus

My post refers to this article posted on all things, MSNBC.com.

The gist of the article is that the Central Intelligence Agency(CIA) of the United States of America, of which I am a card carrying citizen, apparently paid Blackwater, the Mercenary company, also United States located, to fascilitate and manage what the article refers to as Death Squads – Groups of fast moving teams whose sole purpose is to hunt down and exterminate foreign people who have be deemed as dangerous in some fashion – basically Blackwater was to manage groups of Assassins. Apparently the CIA wanted Blackwater to do this because, as the article states, “you wouldn’t want to have American fingerprints on it.”

My reason for pointing at this article is purely this: I really want to know who would have had their names on that Death Squad Kill List, and why they were put there. Creepy stuff to be sure.

Murder by Death

Posted on 30 August 2009 by Thraxxus

So I was holding my son yesterday, feeding him formula, whilest channel surfing and came across this old classic film Murder by Death – a Peter Sellers classic. Besides this movie being hysterical I was blown away by the cast. Truman Capote, Peter Faulk, Peter Sellers, David Niven and of course Alec Guinness who brilliantly plays a blind butler. The movie was made before the Clue film, also amusing but a bit more forced, and to me is still just as funny as when it was first released.

The entire point to the story, as stated by IMDB, is “Millionnaire Lionel Twain invites the five most brilliant private eyes to a dinner – and a murder. So, Sidney Wang from China, Dick Charleston from New York, Jessica Marbles from England, Milo Perrier from Belgium and Sam Diamond from San Francisco arrive at the remote castle. They are welcomed by Jamesir Bemsonmam, the blind butler. At nine, a dinner is supposed to be served. The five private eyes and their companionships are in the dining room, wondering what everything is about. Suddenly, Lionel Twain appears and lets the private eyes in on his plan: Exactly at midnight, a murder is going to take place. And he offers a million dollars to the one who can solve the murder. Then he disappears. Before long, a problem arises: The butler is found dead – and it’s long before midnight! Will the five most brilliant minds of our time be able to see through the elaborate set-up staged by a criminal mastermind?” Good stuff.

Chitty Chitty

Posted on 29 August 2009 by Thraxxus

The Lyrics from The Roses of Success from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang give us all a nice message.

Every bursted bubble has a glory!
Each abysmal failure makes a point!
Every glowing path that goes astray,
Shows you how to find a better way.
So every time you stumble never grumble.
Next time you’ll bumble even less!
For up from the ashes, up from the ashes, grow the roses of success!
Grow the roses!
Grow the roses!
Grow the roses of success!
Oh yes!
Grow the roses!
Those rosy roses!
From the ashes of disaster grow the roses of success!
(spoken)Yes I know but he wants it to float. It will!
For every big mistake you make be grateful!
Here, here!
That mistake you’ll never make again!
No sir!
Every shiny dream that fades and dies,
Generates the steam for two more tries!
(Oh) There’s magic in the wake of a fiasco!
Correct!
It gives you that chance to second guess!
Oh yes!
Then up from the ashes, up from the ashes grow the roses of success!
Grow the roses!
Grow the roses!
Grow the roses of success!
Grow the roses!
Those rosy roses!
From the ashes of disaster grow the roses of success!
Disaster didn’t stymie Louis Pasteur!
No sir!
Edison took years to see the light!
Right!
Alexander Graham knew failure well; he took a lot of knocks to ring that
bell!
So when it gets distressing it’s a blessing!
Onward and upward you must press!
Yes, Yes!
Till up from the ashes, up from the ashes grow the roses of success.
Grow the ro
Grow the ro
Grow the roses!
Grow the ro
Grow the ro
Grow the roses!
Grow the roses of success!
Grow the ro
Grow the ro
Grow the roses!
Those rosy ro
Those rosy ro
Those rosy roses!
From the ashes of disaster, grow the roses of success!
Start the engines!
Success!
Batten the hatches!
Success!
Man the shrouds!
Lift the anchor!
Success!

A Note From Russia

Original Article here.

American capitalism gone with a whimper

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.

True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.

Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their “right” to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our “democracy”. Pride blind the foolish.

Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different “branches and denominations” were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the “winning” side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the “winning” side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.

The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America’s short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.

These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, loses and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more then ordinary street thugs, in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them?

These men, of course, are not an elected panel but made up of appointees picked from the very financial oligarchs and their henchmen who are now gorging themselves on trillions of American dollars, in one bailout after another. They are also usurping the rights, duties and powers of the American congress (parliament). Again, congress has put up little more then a whimper to their masters.

Then came Barack Obama’s command that GM’s (General Motor) president step down from leadership of his company. That is correct, dear reader, in the land of “pure” free markets, the American president now has the power, the self given power, to fire CEOs and we can assume other employees of private companies, at will. Come hither, go dither, the centurion commands his minions.

So it should be no surprise, that the American president has followed this up with a “bold” move of declaring that he and another group of unelected, chosen stooges will now redesign the entire automotive industry and will even be the guarantee of automobile policies. I am sure that if given the chance, they would happily try and redesign it for the whole of the world, too. Prime Minister Putin, less then two months ago, warned Obama and UK’s Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, it only leads to disaster. Apparently, even though we suffered 70 years of this Western sponsored horror show, we know nothing, as foolish, drunken Russians, so let our “wise” Anglo-Saxon fools find out the folly of their own pride.

Again, the American public has taken this with barely a whimper…but a “freeman” whimper.

So, should it be any surprise to discover that the Democratically controlled Congress of America is working on passing a new regulation that would give the American Treasury department the power to set “fair” maximum salaries, evaluate performance and control how private companies give out pay raises and bonuses? Senator Barney Franks, a social pervert basking in his homosexuality (of course, amongst the modern, enlightened American societal norm, as well as that of the general West, homosexuality is not only not a looked down upon life choice, but is often praised as a virtue) and his Marxist enlightenment, has led this effort. He stresses that this only affects companies that receive government monies, but it is retroactive and taken to a logical extreme, this would include any company or industry that has ever received a tax break or incentive.

The Russian owners of American companies and industries should look thoughtfully at this and the option of closing their facilities down and fleeing the land of the Red as fast as possible. In other words, divest while there is still value left.

The proud American will go down into his slavery with out a fight, beating his chest and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is. The world will only snicker.

Irony in Sarcasm

Posted on 27 August 2009 by Thraxxus

You may recall that I wrote an article the other day titled: For Our Spammers. The piece was written in a sarcastic tone – in effect I was making fun of the spam posts we receive from Search Engine Optimization (SEO) boosters, straight up sales people, wanna be hackers and the like. The irony is that since I wrote that article we have received over 30 new comments intended to show up on that article’s Comments Section whereby most of the spammers actually thanked me for the post – thinking I suppose that we were trying to help them in their endevours – we were not, and are not.

What they don’t know is that we capture their IP Addresses and add them to our auto spam list so that no matter what comments they make they are automatically tossed into the Spam Hamper – and they go on thanking us. Here are a few of my favorites:

“I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don’t know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.” – same IP as half a dozen other spam messages. At least he tried to look real.

“I want to say – thank you for this” – You are welcome!

“It is the coolest site, keep so” – Yes, yes it is. Keep so what though?

And from our existential Spammer, a rather profound message – “Hope it will always be alive” of course what is he talking about? Does he hope our site will always be alive? Or has he hit something very core to what we all need to remember in the coming days that being that Hope will always be alive – as long as we don’t kill it.

I Thank You, Americans, for My Paycheck

Posted on 25 August 2009 by GlazednConfused

push_button_government_handout_393565

I’ve been unemployed against my will for the past six weeks, yet not compelled to write about it. Unemployment is not inspiring – I’m really just a statistic. I am also one of millions that suffer from “occasional irregularity”, and you don’t see a lot of creative writing focused on that unfortunate topic either. I did receive my first unemployment check ever after over 20 years gainfully employed. Let me tell you – it is a great feeling to use something that I have been paying into yet receiving no benefits. I’m not sure where my family would be without it, and this is from a guy with a spotless work history and a useful graduate and postgraduate degree.

Getting laid off from my company was a lot like being dumped by a crack whore. Sure, maybe I worked too much and didn’t give you as much attention as you needed; Baby, that’s the least of your problems. No severance of course, although they did pay me for the entire day after being let go at 10am. Keeping your sanity during unemployment depends on two things – how bad you need the money, and how badly you need to keep busy. My family needs the money urgently, but I am enjoying working on school and entrepreneurial endeavors with impunity. Danger! Danger!

The UI system has been around since the Great Depression – another one of those controversial programs enacted during that time. Even before I hopped on the unemployment bandwagon I realized that there are many successful government programs in place that you, I or someone we love will rely on at various points in our lives. Therefore, I feel that we Americans must have damn good reason to oppose them. I demand that research and logic primarily be involved – call me crazy. No references to death panels, Jesus, Hitler, or stabbing babies – emotions and religion have played too large a part in our government for the last 8 years. Just because the man is black does not make him a socialist. He’s still wealthy, right?

Furthermore, if there is a hell I hope there is an especially humid level reserved for hypocrites. You know the ones – they vehemently oppose any government program yet gladly collect their social security and disability payments. They seem to be coming out of the woodworks lately. Many of these angry hypocrites are above middle age – why, exactly? This demographic should just shutting their mouths and thanking God every time their check cashes. Leave the protesting for people my age and younger who are going to have to pay the bills when you baby boomers retire.

I’m not saying government health care is the answer;  Just like Social Security, it will have long-term problems (understatement). However, anything is better than what we have in place now. As I’ve mentioned before, would you rather have a beancounter control your healthcare or some suit working aggressively to screw you over? Next time you witness a blowhard slamming his or her fist on a table while shouting down a government option, do us freeloaders a favor: research.

Allow me elaborate.

This information age has generated a lot of static. There are many issues you could lie awake at night worrying about, most of them on shaky ground. The H1N1 virus epidemic, the Amero, Jon and Kate, everything that comes out of Michele Bachman‘s mouth – all unworthy if you are short of time. However, your government becoming the bitch of Big Business should be a genuine concern. Is that table-pounding, jowel-shaking octogenarian speaking for you or that suit he played golf with last week? My dream is that every C-SPAN title that tells you a government official’s name and party also has a acronym for his or her biggest donor. For example, Senator Mitch McConnell should be followed by “(R-KY-BI)”, as a Republican from Kentucky clearly in bed with the banking industry. This labeling is probably just a pipe dream, so check out campaignmoney.org and others about campaign financing. This article on the public healthcare reform is very interesting.

Your Blind Date

Posted on 24 August 2009 by Thraxxus

This is bob. He likes long walks on the beach, poetry, and wears the latest in fashion, which apparently includes a skull cap, nose plug, and hardcore eye wear. In all seriousness, this image was on MSNBC.com‘s website in a collection of sports images taken over the last week. I found this one entertaining as it brings something up that I have always found amusing – what we wear has a place and purpose. thing being of course if you do not know said purpose or place then the outfit in question becomes, well, questionable.

Consider a Hockey Goalie – dude is covered in armor –  if you saw someone like that walking through a bazaar in say ancient Mesopatamia one might think that he is in fact some form of specialized warrior – head gear looking a bit like a Gladiator helm and all. What about a ballerina? Some ballerina outfits are a bit on the revealing side – say you didn’t know what Ballet was and you encountered a woman wearing a tutu on the corner of 5th and Grand on a late saturday night, you might think that she is a working girl. Weird eh?

Now then – Bob wants your phone number.
