Same story, different era. Side Note: back then the “vaccine” didn’t really make it to main stream.
Oddly enough we are all still here.

Conspiracy About Vaccines – Real?

Posted on 29 April 2009 by Thraxxus

This is a FWD from a friend, I found it intriguing.

Dear friends,

Quick heads up…

Last summer, some conspiracy theorists said the bird flu was going to be spread via vaccines. Then, in February 2009, Austrian vaccine manufacturer Baxter was caught shipping vaccines to 18 countries with the live Avian flu virus in them. It was discovered randomly (by testing a ferret) and was called an accident.

On March 6th, some of these same conspiracy theorists warned the virus would likely start spreading at the end of April, which we’re already seeing happening. They warned this over a month before the first case. The same folks also warned weeks ago that the pandemic state would hit the US this coming Wednesday, April 29th, in Akron, Ohio. I dread but expect we’ll see this come to pass too.

If you have the power to call this out publicly before or after it happens, please do it. It may stop whatever is in store for us next. Please keep in mind that if this does come to pass this Wednesday in Ohio, there is no way whatsoever this information could have been made available in advance, if it was truly a flu by the forces of nature.

Thanks for listening. And please see my sources below.

Swine Flutacular!

Posted on 28 April 2009 by Thraxxus

Yesterday I did this mediocre post on the Swine Flu and how its being made out to be the Zombie Apocalypse. The part that amazes me is how much world wide paranoia this is causing – not my article. Yesterday England, and the EU, announced that going to the USA and Mexico was a bad bad thing! Then late that same day we found out that the Swine Flu is already in Scotland. for you geography impaired, Scotland is on the opposite end of the same Island and England – Oooooops.

Scanjack said something to me this morning that I found very interesting – why isn’t anyone drawing the correlation between bird flu, swine flu, and influenza in humans? All we hear about is how they aren’t the same. Fair Enough. So how does a species specific virus jump to another species? I have yet to hear anyone talk about this?. Maybe the rumblings are true – Lab borne?

Side note – my understanding is that if you walk around with a painters mask on you really aren’t protecting yourself. That said if you are truly ugly you may want to wear one all the time.

The Zombie Apocalypse- AKA The Swine Flu

Posted on 27 April 2009 by Thraxxus

So apparently the Europeans have declared the USA and Mexico as Zombie wastelands. I may be exaggerating just a bit, a wee, a nub, a tid.. whatever. The fact is the European Union (EU) is now looking at us as the starting place for armageddon! That aside, this morning I was listening to good old NPR and they were talking about the Swine Flu, how it spreads, how humans get it, and how deadly it really is.

  1. Swine Flu comes from piggies – duh.
  2. It is akin to the human Influenza, just its for pigs.
  3. Pigs and Humans often share sickness – we also taste alike -weird eh?
  4. You get Swine Flu FROM BEING AROUND PIGS WITH IT. Not from eating pork.
  5. Everyone in the USA that has or had the Swine Flu, got it from a trip to Mexico, or because they were around someone else who had it, who probably just got back from Mexico.
  6. Nobody in the USA has died from it, yet.
  7. Several people in Mexico have died from it.
  8. Loads of people in Mexico still have it (hundreds last I heard).
  9. It doesn’t appear to be contained in Mexico.
  10. Only 20 people in the USA have it or had it and all are contained.

Are we safe? Who knows? Is a Zombie Apocalypse on the way? We can only hope. Is this story being embellished by people wo haven’t actually done any research on it? YOU CAN BET YOUR SWEET ASS ON THAT.

Honorable? Selfish? Cowardly? Pick One

Posted on 23 April 2009 by GlazednConfused

suicide-booth

Musings prompted by the recent Freddie Mac CFO suicide.

Thraxxus and I sometimes talk about a big difference between American and foreign businessmen – the latter’s propensity to commit suicide in the wake of infamous failure. Whether they are businessmen of China, Japan, or Korea, those industry leaders seem to have a lower tolerance for professional shame. Even if the statistics do not 100% support this argument, Charles Grassley (a Republican, what a shocker) recently perpetuated the reputation by suggesting AIG execs should take the Japanese approach and off themselves. “At least those guys are genuinely embarrassed and take the honorable way out” was a good summary of my feelings too. However, I’m not a U.S. Senator with a big gawddamn mouth.

I watched parts of The Bridge again recently, and if you have not I strongly recommend it. The documentary is about mostly young individuals who kill themselves by jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge (and their families), the locale of which I am familiar. Every time I walk across the Golden Gate I wonder how anyone could climb up there and jump after looking down. It is a long drop but not that long – being crippled for life looks just as probable as a quick death. The filmmakers set up a camera on the bridge for a year and tracked 24 people who attempted suicide. Sometimes they intervened successfully, sometimes not. The one aspect of the movie that really stuck with me was the families and friends of the deceased. The utter destruction on their faces and in their voices was difficult to witness. The mom and dad who will carry the guilt for the rest of their lives and the friends who didn’t think he was serious because he joked about it so much – these are the true victims of suicide. Disregarding the seriously ill, I think the movie indirectly portrays suicide as a selfish approach to life’s solvable problems.

I can’t relate to the suicidal because I have never pondered it – not even once. I’ve wondered what it is like to die in many different ways, especially in my youth. What would happen if I jumped in front of these train? Well the wheels might slice me in half. My head might get caught on the ladder and drag me a good quarter-mile before I succumb. These are merely the thoughts of a bored individual. So my perspective is purely third-person. However, if I was disgraced business leader in any country I should be thinking about how I can repay those that I have harmed. Henchman in one of the all-time corrupt businesses? Spend your time in jail and then the rest of your life working for non-profits. CFO of Freddie Mac, one of the many reckless companies responsible for trillions of dollars in wealth down the shitter? Do your time – you didn’t drive a busload of nuns off a cliff. Commit the rest of your life as an example of what not to do. If you can’t handle that, then you are a coward. Also, for the love of God, don’t take any family members with you.

New Human

I read about this a few weeks ago, and this morning MoMajic was nice enough to forward this video to me. Watch it. I believe this guy is right – why? A friend of mine has a daughter who is already classified technically as a cyborg as she has robotic ear implants. Turns out she can actually hook an iPod directly up to her head and listen to it WITHOUT HEADPHONES. By the way, Juan Enriquez is a smart dude.

Shatner’s Best

William Shatner has had one of those careers that most of us in some fashion or another scoffed at. I believe that, ironically, this scene where Mr. Spock dies was the best he had to offer. Enjoy a little Star Trek on Thursday.

Quote of the Day

Posted on 21 April 2009 by GlazednConfused

“If a man is offered a fact which goes against his instincts, he will scrutinize it closely, and unless the evidence is overwhelming, he will refuse to believe it. If, on the other hand, he is offered something which affords a reason for acting in accordance to his instincts, he will accept it even on the slightest evidence. The origin of myths is explained in this way.”
– Bertrand Russell

Gay = Religion? What?

Posted on 21 April 2009 by guybehindtheguy

Folks, if you have not heard mention the Miss USA controversy then I encourage you to not spend more than the few moments on it that I am devoting here. I am only bringing attention to the topic based upon a quote from the organizer of the Miss California pageant.

Please read from FOXNews.com:

Keith Lewis, who runs the Miss California competition, tells FOXNews.com that he was “saddened” by Prejean’s statement.

“As co-director of the Miss California USA, I am personally saddened and hurt that Miss California believes marriage rights belong only to a man and a woman,” said Lewis in a statement. “I believe all religions should be able to ordain what unions they see fit. I do not believe our government should be able to discriminate against anyone and religious beliefs have no politics in the Miss California family.”

Did I take this out of context? Was this statement misquoted? Correct me if I am wrong, but did Keith Lewis just state that being gay is a religion?

Folks regardless of your beliefs on homosexuality – if you are like me you should be wondering right about now is does Keith Lewis really believe what he said, or did FOXNews.com intentially misquote him?
